Choir
The Jeune Chœur d’Ile de France (The Île-de-France Youth Choir) brings together around fifty passionate singers aged 15 to 25. These young musicians benefit from a broad experience in choral singing, most of them having sung together from a very young age in the Chœur d’Enfants d’Ile de France (Île-de-France Children’s Choir), of which the Youth Choir is the natural continuation. Closely linked within the Académie Chorale d’Ile de France (founded and chaired by Francis Bardot), both ensembles offer a seamless artistic and educational journey that supports singers from childhood into adulthood. Under the direction of Pierre-Louis de Laporte since 2018, the Jeune Chœur d’Ile de France currently focuses on an artistic and educational project centered around the a cappella repertoire. In concert, the Youth Choir performs in major venues and churches across the Paris region (including the Philharmonie de Paris and the Auvers-sur-Oise Festival). The ensemble also travels abroad for its annual summer tours (Greece, Spain, Italy, Poland), creating formative and unforgettable encounters for both the choir and its young singers. Year after year, particularly strong connections have been built with the islands of Syros and Santorini. Since its inception, the Academy has been strongly supported by the City of Levallois.
