Rafael Gabriel Przybyla

Oboe

Studied oboe with Prof. Jerzy Kotyczka at Academy of Music in Cracow. Granted with scholarships attended many courses of Early Music led by masters of baroque oboe: Paul Goodwin, Sophia McKenna, Bruce Haynes, Ku Ebbinge, Alferdo Bernardini and Frank de Bruine. In September 1998 he started studies at Royal Academy of Music in London specialising in baroque oboe in Prof. Sophia McKenna’s class, obtaining the Dilpoma of Postgraduate Performance. He was principal oboist of European Union Baroque Orchestra in 1999-2000 touring with EUBO led by Lars Ulrik Mortensen and Roy Goodman. He works with leading ensembles playing on period instruments. Since 2005 Rafael is oboist of Musicae Antiquae Collegium Varsoviense, baroque and classiscal orchestra at Warsaw Chamber Opera. He teaches the baroque oboe at Academy of Music in Łódź. He also plays organ as the liturgical organist in The Holy Trinity Church in Supraśl.
