Mania Evangeliou

Mezzo Soprano

Μezzo-soprano Mania Εvangeliou was born in Athens. She began her musical studies studying classical piano at the Greek Conservatory. In 1994, she received her Diploma with Honours, along with the 2nd Prize from the Central Conservatory of Kostas Klavvas. She also has a degree in Advanced Music Theory (Special Degree in Harmony, 1991) and a Diploma in Classical Singing (2001). She has participated in prestigious choirs such as the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) Choir and the Greek National Opera Choir. She has been a founding member of the singing ensemble Fons Musicalis. During the period 1993-1997, she was responsible for teaching and conducting the Children’s Choir of the “Constantinian Cultural Center” of Atalanti. As of 1992, she has been working as a piano teacher; and as a Classical Singing teacher since 2001. In 2009, she formed the Malesina Women’s Choir which she has been teaching and conducting to this day.
