Ioannis Kavouras

Tenor

He studied violin, piano, advanced music theory and singing (Panos Dimas’ class, diploma with honours and first prize). He also studied under Sebastian Vittucci (Vienna), Jane Henschel and Bryan Hymel. He has sung, among others, Albert Herring, Nemorino (L’elisir d’amore), Ernesto (Don Pasquale), Count Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Ferrando (Cosi fan tutte), Basilio (Le nozze di Figaro), Geharnischter (Die Zauberflöte), Beppe (Pagliacci), Matteo Borsa (Rigoletto), The Count of Lerma/Royal herald (Don Carlo), Gastone (La Traviata), Le Remendado (Carmen), Dr Blind (Die Fledermaus), Pamikos (Satanerie), Zacharoulis (The Godson), Papaoulakis (Minos), Pterodactyl (Z), Fisherman (Medea), Petrarca (Veil of oblivion), Menelaus (Helen). He has worked with Antonello Allemandi, Richard Bonynge, Zubin Mehta, Giovanni Pacor and many others. He has performed religious works of Mozart, Schubert, Saint-Saens, Dubois, Mendelssohn, Telemann, Haydn, Bach, etc. He is a graduate of the School of Physical Education and Sport Science (University of Thessaly, postgraduate diploma) and postgraduate student of the Department of Music Studies (Ionian University, specialization: singing). Furthermore, he has been a postgraduate student of Business Administration (University of Leicester, MBA).
